Attention Homebuilders, Rehabbers and Sub Contractors

NNDC is now accepting proposals from licensed, experienced home builders for the construction of six (6) new homes in the Crown Hill neighborhood.  Interested builders may propose to build one, many, or all six of the homes for NNDC, with each builder's specific designs, pricing, and capacity all being important factors in NNDC's decision-making process.  The full Request for Proposals is available here.  Proposals are due March 2nd and the selected builder(s) should be prepared to start construction of one or more of the new homes as early as April.

Licensed general contractors and sub-contractors that wish to be considered for housing rehab and home repair work for NNDC and its partner organizations are invited to respond to a Request for Information available here.  NNDC expects to be managing the rehab of three (3) to five (5) substandard houses in 2018, as well as assisting existing home owners secure repair assistance to address structural-, health-, and safety-related deficiencies in their homes.

New Homes In Crown Hill

Near North Development Corporation will collaborate with Carley Custom Builders this Fall to construct homes on vacant and blighted lots in the Crown Hill Neighborhood. The Red Line

Construction on the first phase of the Red Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line, running 13 miles from Broad Ripple to the University of Indianapolis, is slated for 2018.  In preparation, IndyGo is hosting a series of “Transit Talks” meetings in September at various locations along the line, including two on the near north side of downtown.   The Transit Talks are informal opportunities for members of the public to stop in, talk with IndyGo staff one-on-one, ask questions and get more information about the Marion County Transit Plan in general and the Red Line specifically.  For information on the dates, times and locations of the Transit Talks visit:
